Last night I called the number on the back of my AmEx BCE card I got in December with a credit line of 2,500
It had been more than 60 days of activation, so I decided I should try to get a 3X CLI
I was rather nervous because my annual income for 2011 was 29,100 and I was asking for a 7,500 credit line. I also usually have low utilization on all of my cards but last month I put 1000 through my BCE because if you spent 1,000 in the first 3 months you got 100 cash back as a sign up bonus. Apparently my high utilization of 40% on the my last cut bill did not hurt my chances too much. I had already paid the 1000 bill completely off.
Anyways, I was approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
My Credit lines right now are:
AmEx BCE 7,500
Alliant Credit Union (visa) 2,000
Shell drive for 5 gas card 400
Total credit line of 9,900 !!!! WOW! I rather blown away, exp since my open credit lines a year ago were rather low in comparison.
As of one year ago my credit lines were
Alliant credit union (visa) 1,000
Shell drive for 5 gas card 400
Total credit line 1,400
I will be applying for Fort Knox FCU's gas card so I can get 5% cash back on gas and replace it with Shell's card that will not grow with me.

Congrats on the CLI! That's awesome. I'm counting the days now until I can ask for one, too. 
Do we need to wait 61 days from application, activation or from first purchase?
