Hard to say about HP's since Chase loves me so much they double pull me each time anyway ...Lol....dang it
Both apps were still submitted within 4-5 minutes total including phone call time so I hadn't checked who was pulled yet at that point

They like to double pull me as well. And when I call for cli, then another. Just like cap one. But, I like Chase better. Citi only did one pull for card, but different report for cli.

Lol I have to admit I do luv Chase too so I don't get offended when they do a double but dag leave me some room for others Chase you know I'm churning and burning
Ha ha ha
Ah i didn't use a different browser or anything. I just immediately went to the freedom page and applied. I wonder if i could/should call a CSR to ask about applying again?
I really don't want to do another HP with chase right now. I'd probably rather get a different card in a few months after these inqs cool off.
I guess I am confused here.. When you applied online for the Freedom did you get a we need time to make a decision or we will get back to you in 5-7 days meaning it is pending or did it do something completly different? Maybe I misread something earlier? Usually you will get an email for each application as well saying not to re-apply etc, did you get one for each application?

To my knowledge, he never applied for the card.
I know this because I literally went through the same experience a week ago when apping for AARP+Freedom.
I used the same browser, like OP, and it said "pending"......which I eventually came to realize it was "pending" for the AARP, even though I was already approved. The browser saves the cache/info and just puts out "pending" even when you submit the next app...
And yeah, I didn't receive the email either, and that's why I applied with a new browser.

Ok, as much as it pains me to wait, I will do just that.
I did get a good SL for CSP i think, $16,000. So I imagine they probably like me just fine. If I get my CSP next week, and still no information on the freedom, I guess I'll call. I just definitely do not want to incur another HP at this point for another card.
Thanks all!
I am with you...know exactly how you feel ... just been through this with my Fidelity app and Elan Financial. Tried to call status line and it wanted to connect to a live rep so I did hang up again and waited. With US Bank I had success waiting and the same with Elan today.
Congrats, nice interest rate, though the SL seems low for you, but it is related to US bank.
Thanks.. the SL is just fine... I cannot blame them. With my income and the existing limits I am glad it is not a denial and since it is US Bank there is potential for auto luv ..it is not like Chase Freedom which will remain with APR and SL for life ..lol
