Approved for Citi Advantage and already lowering APR

So I was approved for the Citi AAvantage card a couple of weeks ago with a 10k limit and an APR of 19.49 or something. Over the course of a few days I have gotten my APR reduced by live chatting with them each day. Yesterday I got to their advertised lowest APR on the card of 14.49. Well I tried again today and they lowered it to below the advertised apr to 13.49. I wonder what their rock bottom is? Has anybody else gotten it any lower??

Just curious, maybe you can help me, I have the Citi Hhilton and cannot find a "live chat" link anywhere on my account or the website in general. Can you tell me where it's at? And wow...at lowering APR below the advertised rate...are the score in your signature correct?

Hey OP, ur not quite close to the lowest APR possible but you'll eventually get there if u continue requesting. My AA Plat card currently has a 4.24% APR which I think may be the lowest. Got it in April 2014. I'm gonna be PC'ing it soon tho to the Citi DC.

Haha! I just say I was wondering if I could lower my APR every time I ask. Lol they are so friendly!

Misbia- when you are logged into your account, up at the top it will say contact us- and just click the arrow and it will say live chat!


Mr endowed, how long did it take you to get there?? Did they stop giving reductions and then randomly start again?

Was approved for the card on April 2014 with the highest APR (I think 21.99%) and by August 2015 the APR was 8.99%, the rate hike however bumped it to 9.24%. It remained at this rate until earlier this month when I made another request and it was dropped to 4.24%.

OP I sent you a message but wanted to update that as of an hour ago my APR is now at 13.49 as well! Card was also approved at 19.49 two weeks ago and starting last Friday I made request every other or two days. First reduction 19.24, next 17.49, then 16.24, yesterday 15.24 and today 13.49. I was so happy! Thank you for your continued encouragement. I don't know if I am brave enough to try again lol since this is lower than advertised (lowest advertised rate for my Hhonors card is 15.49).

Last couple time i chat with them, was told no apr reduction offer available to me.
