Are the Amazon Store Cards and the Amazon Rewards VISA Card both Issued by Synchrony?

I know the Chase Amazon cars is obviously issued by Chase but I was wondering about the Amazon Rewards VISA Signature...is that Chase too?

Yes. The Amazon Rewards Visa is issued Chase, while Amazon store card is issued by Synchrony.

The Amazon store card (plain and Prime versions) is issued by Synchrony.

The Amazon Visa in both standard and Prime, as well as plain and Signature, is issued by Chase.  I could wish it were otherwise, due to Chase having been IIB'ed in 2014 and their infamous strictness, but it is what it is.

I thought all Chase Amazon Visas were all signature? Never heard Chase having 2 different versions either?

There's 2 Amazon Prime cards that are backed by Chase, Amazon Prime Visa Rewards and Amazon Visa Rewards, and there's an Amazon Store card that's backed by Synchrony.

I think the Chase cards are all Signature cards. Two different versions may refer to the fact that the rewards are based on whether one has Prime or not.

Yeah that's what I thought. I know the Synchrony backed is determined if you are a Prime member so makes sense Chases Visa would too.

The Amazon and Whole Foods rewards are 5% if you have Prime. If you don't have Prime, they're 3%. The 2% categories are all the same whether you have Prime or not.

At one point, Chase issued the Amazon Visa as non-Signature as well.  It was a while back when they standardized the entire product line to the VS tier regardless of whether folks had Amazon Prime or not and it also applied to SLs starting as low as $500.  Folks who had the non-Signature version were also upgraded in phases.
