They did complete wrong, they should reduce the signing Bonus and improve the on going benefits, at this point, nobody would keep the card for 2nd year, they give up $400 bonus for nothing.

That's why i have the no-AF version and $200 bonus. Plus 2x dining and travel, only card that i have which has a wide travel category.

Also signed up for its free FICO score but it hasnt been updated beyond the first score i got so i guess that part is useless.

Assuming you meet their credit requirements (whatever they may be) and you could meet the spending requirements for the bonus, no one should ever apply for the non-AF version.  Get the big card, enjoy the "free" year, revel in the larger bonus......then downgrade to the non-AF version before the AF is due.

Unfortunately for Barclay, this scenario will be playing out for a lot of their current Arrival+ owners.  Due to account age, the benefits for my card will end this coming November.  However, I will not be using the card because the last thing I need is "stuck" miles that I cannot redeem due to the upcoming $100 threshold.
