Re: Assistance with getting Prime CCs

Congrats on your Cli. Let it report and check your cs again. Discover might be your better choice. Chase may not be so forgiving with the past baddies too soon.

Re: Assistance with getting Prime CCs

Thanks for posting this. It's so helpful to hear about other's journey's so that we can learn from each other.

A couple of suggestions, and I don't know if it's the right direction... someone else can say something if you disagree.

I got my $3k lines from Kay Jewlers and Jarred. Since you're under $1k fairly consistently, one of those might help.

Also, I got the Discover IT securred offered after applying for the real thing & having too many HPs. It can be secured up to 2k, I think

And I got the C1 secured Platinum for the minimum deposit of $49.00 which gives me 200.00. From other feedback, I heard that giving consistent increases to the deposit (I plan to do 50.00 a month), along with auto CLIs can get you up to the max ($3,500 I belive) in a few months.

Might also check Sportsman's Guide and Amazon and Walmart, who are fairly easy to get and are somewhat generous with CLIs after the first few months.

Hope some of this might help.

My Wallet:Fidelity Amex $1K, DCU $3.9K, US Bank AeroMexico $300, Quicksilver $1.3K, Cap1 secured MC $750, DiscoverIT $200, Care Credit $5K, Sportsman Guide Visa $3K, Kay $3K, Jared $3K,American Airlines CC $3K, Amazon $2.9k, Walmart $2.2k, Macy's $800 revolving/$5k furniture, Comenity retail cards $5.55kStarting Score: 618Current Score: 711

Re: Assistance with getting Prime CCs

Good morning! I see that you wrote "Included in the BK7 was GE Paypal, AMEX Blue & Plat Charge Card, Citi Elite World MC, Affinity Federal Credit" so I don't think you'll be able to get anything from GE, Citi or Amex for a while, though someone with more experience could answer that better. I'm almost positive that I read about Amex and Citi not being very forgiving if they lost money on a person before? Otherwise, perhaps in a month or two when you do the other things mentioned here like getting your UTL down and letting your new higher limit (congratulations!) report you'll be in a better spot to get discover or someone more prime!

Good luck to you! I hope you post to let us know how every thing turns out!
