Auto CLI from Discover (as expected)

Finally, after another 4 months, Discover gave me an auto CLI to make the CL of my Discover IT $1000... Three auto CLIs happened very regularly last year: one in 4 months. Could not ask for more, although the CL is still very low...

Last App: 09/17/2013 // No App Until: Mortgage (05/14?)

Cards in my wallet: AMEX BCE ($8000) // CITI AA VISA SIG ($5000) // CHASE FREEDOM ($3500) // DISCOVER IT ($1000) // CAP ONE NC ($1000) // WALMART DISCOVER ($1600)
Credit Scores: FICO TU08 (10/13): 739 // Credit Karma (10/13): 677??!! // Credit Sesame (10/13): 730
Next Goal: CSP (after mortgage probably...)

I am jealous.  I never get a CLI.

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.....
Always follow these rules: Only take a HP for a new account. Always use the best rewards card for that reward category. Don't close a card unless you know you really should. Never use more than 35% of a credit limit. Recon as much and as best you can. Use the introductory period to the best advantage. Get the signup bonus. Whenever possible PIF or balance transfer so you pay less in interest. Never give an excellent rating when it is actually the norm. Always look for a discount as more is always better.
Always accept candy from strangers because they have the best candy or from people you know have good candy.

Re: Auto CLI from Discover (as expected)

How often can we expect a CLI from Discover? I have been with them one year and received one increase several months into it. I don't want to request one and risk a HP. Thanks.

Congrats

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

I was so frustrated with no auto CLI that I did the hard pull a moment ago and got one.  I asked for $5000, which was a mistake.  It was a mistake because I should have simply said the best you will give me.  They gave me what I asked for!  It was rather easy with a little discussion with the rep.  I now realize I probably could've gotten more.  Next time I will ask for the max they will give me.  Chase on the other hand simply refused even with a HP.  I think I will close that card if nothing happens soon.
