Automatic Credit Line Increases

Which companies are known to automatically increase credit limits on account depdning upon revew every six months? I know for a fact Capital One will do it once with the student card but I don't know about anyone else like say Amazon, WalMart, etc. With Citi, I haven't had much luck in that or even getting approved for another card with them. Also does anyone have any advice in making myself more likely to qualify for these increases because I really don't want to have more hard inquires on my credit file. I already have enough as it is and want to wait a long while before doing anything else.

Tradelines: Macy’s - $18k, Penfed Power Cash Rewards - $10k, Ethan Allen (TD Bank) - $5.7k, Kay Jewelers - $5.5k, Appliances Connection - $5.3k, Jared - $5.25k, Best Buy (Citi) - $5k, Dell Preferred Account - $3.5k, Samsung - $3.2k, Firestone CFNA - $3.2k, Capital One Platinum - $3k, Mercury MC - $2.25k, Williams Sonoma - $2.1k, Wayfair (Fortiva) - $2k, Amazon Store Card - $1.8k, Apple Card - $1.7k, NFCU cashRewards - $1.5k, CareCredit - $1.5k, B&H Photo - $1.5k, Adorama - $1.25k, Ebay MC - $1k, Sam’s Club MC - $1k, American Eagle - $1k, Ollo MC - $600, Mission Lane Visa - $500, NY & Company - $500, Walgreens - $500, Home Depot - $500, Target RED Card - $500, CapOne Secured MC 0 AF - $500, Penfed Overdraft LOC - $500

Re: Automatic Credit Line Increases

Not adding new TLs when you open an account that does auto-CLIs is actually better, because if you have more open available credit some companies don't want to extend you more.

Wal-Mart, Capital One, Barclays, Probably Amazon all auto-cli. They like for you to use their cards very much and pay in full as much as you can. Smiley Wink There really is no secret, I dont' think.

Re: Automatic Credit Line Increases

Capital One, most GECRB-backed cards (Amazon Store, Walmart), and now sometimes Citi offer SP manual requests - a la "luv button." Why wait for auto-luv? GECRB request every fourth statement and Cap One every sixth.

Going further, use the cards and pay more than minimum if not PIF. It may take some time (Cap One once denied my request for too many inquiries, most of which are more than a year old) but it will happen.

It's all about your credit and income.  There are no magic tricks for CLI's.

Well cards backed by GE you don't have to wait for auto cli because all but a couple like CareCredit are SP CLI and you can call credit solutions for big manual cli.

Re: Automatic Credit Line Increases

I have gotten them within the past year from AmEx and PenFed without asking. Just a surprise notice from them.
