I live in Mass and got a total of 3 mailers. Applied in on 1/31 and was approved. I also opened a checking account.

Congratulations on your approval! 👍
The Synovus card seems similar, except they don't have the 2X category and IDK how their categories are laid out. The 2X category is not all that important since I have a 2% card though.
@Taurus22 wrote:Question: Isn't the BBVA Clearpoints card the same thing as the Synovus Rewards Visa with Dynamic Earn categories?
MrDisco99 posted this in 2017, not sure how much has changed since then, but it looks almost identical to the Clearpoints categories....
Examples by Dynamic Earn Category:
I was hoping someone with a current Synovus card could confirm if this was the same now? Could be an alternative to those who can't get the mailer from BBVA.

There is a branch about 20 minutes away and I also get the error message in Florida. I do get the mailers so I may app soon...

I can’t answer your question because I live in a state that is in the geofence, but I can say I love the card. IDK if will let you check because you are not in state, but if it will let you do the prequal, it will show you the SL and APR before you actually apply.
https://online.bbvausa.com/apply/credit-card-prequal?source=sba&oneTimeToken=SSOls/5v/LlXLNcqyXmBy75...Tried this in Colorado where I have a branch maybe 15 minutes from me and the pre-qual said the "product isn't available in this state" very strange.
Can someone confir if the Healthcare category on the Clear points card gives 3x on doctor's, hospital bills?

I keep buying things here and there outside of the normal 3% and 2% to see how things code. I’ve a had a few things that coded odd. I am currently using the 3% for utilities and 2% for restaurants this quarter. I got a bonus category for groceries for January that pays an additional 4% on top of the 2%, so for this month we are getting 6% at restaurants. I usually have 2% set as retail, which I’m finding is a broad category.
My eventual plan is to get a US Bank Cash + for 5% utilities and phone service and swap the 3% on the ClearPoints card to retail and get 3% at most retail stores like WalMart, Target, Dollar General, etc and a lot of Amazon and eBay purchases.
I got a mailer for this one and I am outside their target area. I see that you posted this 2-months ago, wanted to see how you still liked the card?

Love it! It's our highest earning cashback at this point. This year we got 6X points on restaurants in Jan, 4X points on groceries in Feb, and we're getting 6X points on gas this month. They also have have Simple Cash Back offers that offer 10% up a certain amount (usually $2.00 - $6.00) at restaurants, auto parts stores, AT&T offers, and others) We spent almost $100 between Advance Auto Parts, Little Ceasar's, and Zaxby's, which are places we frenquent already and earned $9.68. The Simple Cash back takes longer to credit, but the normal cash back is available as soon as the transaction posts.
This was our cashback at the statement cut for this quarter. I screen shot'd it before I redeemed it. The Simple Cash Back automatically credits against your balance.
I was craving to app since my US Bank Cash+ denial and I app'd for this tonight and was APPROVED! ($7500 CL)
Don't know why that is such a good feeling! ![]()
Thanks for you help @JNA1
