BBVA Clearpoints Credit Card (need the Visa Signature Benefits brochure)

Hi! I am new to the forum... I have the BBVA Clearpoints Credit Card...I unfortunately lost the brochure that came with the card that describes the various benefits (like Extended Warranty, Purchase Protection, Auto Rental Insurance, etc) and what is covered and how to file claims if you need to... I tried BBVA to get a copy but they said they can't mail it to me and could only give me a general Visa number to contact if i needed to file a claim...

I was wondering if anyone here that has the card, has that benefits brochure and could somehow get it to me...whether posted here (if that is possible) by email or whatever...

Thanks in advance for your help... Smiley Happy

Re: BBVA Clearpoints Credit Card (need the Visa Signature Benefits brochure)

Thanks..that does help a LOT...although the actual Visa Signature benefits do vary from card to card...i would love to have a copy of the brochure that is specific to the BBVA Clearpoints Card...if anyone can provide one for me Smiley Wink

If not...i now have information about filing claims for the services i think the card provides...

Re: BBVA Clearpoints Credit Card (need the Visa Signature Benefits brochure)

When I was approved for this card with a $10K limit the electronic paperwork at the time of approval included a signature benefits document so I though I had received the signature version of the card but I did not. I looked into it at the time and I think I discovered this card does not come as a Siggy.   Smiley Sad

Hopefully it's changed by now.

Re: BBVA Clearpoints Credit Card (need the Visa Signature Benefits brochure)

You know..you could be right at that...I just looked at my card and it doesn't say Visa Signature on it....so now i am wondering if it even HAS signature benefits...I've had the card for about 6 months and just assumed it was...

I was going to start using it as my main card but i also have the PenFed Cash Rewards Card and that definitely IS a visa signature card...it says it right on the card, mentions it as such on their website (including it's features) and i have an extensive booklet that came with it that outlines all the Signature features it has...

Re: BBVA Clearpoints Credit Card (need the Visa Signature Benefits brochure)

I saw a post not too long that Clearpoints was now a Visa Signature, but when I visit BBVA's website it doesn't mention that.  My Clearpoints with a SL of $11,200 that I've had for 18 months is a regular Visa.  I haven't call in to verify though.

BBVA has a select card which is a Visa Signature but has a $99 annual fee, waived the first year.  I'm quite happy with my Clearpoints.

At one time the ClearPoints Visa only came as a Platinum regardless of the credit line, and they even printed 'Platinum' prominently on the front of the card, LOL.

That said, a few months back when my card had to be reissued due to fraud the new one came as a Signature (as well as a completely new design).

They are a quirky bank, but IMO for the right person the categories can work out nicely.  Before I got the U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve the ClearPoints was my go-to for Walmart, since it's one of two cards I have that treats all the Walmart stores I frequent as grocery (the other is the Care Credit Mastercard).

My BBVA app shows I have a card needing to be activated, which is odd since it got replaced due to fraud a few months ago but the old card would have expired either this month or next month. (The card is in my 'safe place' and I'm out of state this weekend so I can't simply look at the card to see when it expires... I'll check the date when I get home Sunday Monday night.)

Assuming that's not a glitch, when I get the new card if there's any paperwork regarding the bennies I'll post it here.

Re: BBVA Clearpoints Credit Card (need the Visa Signature Benefits brochure)

Thank You  UncleB Smiley Happy

Would appreciate that...would love to have a copy of the benefits in case i should need to utilize them...So if you do have it, please do post it here..."Quirky" is right...why the heck can't they provide me with a copy of it?  The rep said maybe a branch would have it....great! I am in New York and they are in Texas... LOL

You know, even though my card doesn't say...i was really sure it is a Visa Signature and remember having the Signature benefits brochure when i got the card (which i lost)...

Re: BBVA Clearpoints Credit Card (need the Visa Signature Benefits brochure)

Out of curiousity i called them today...according to the rep (unless he is giving me incorrect information) he said he looked it up and Clearpoints is not a Visa Signature Card...This is very confusing...but i do feel a bit shakey about a bank that doesn't seem to be able to give accurate information...the question is: is he right or not?  UncleB said his replacement card DOES say it on the card...

I got my card over 6 months ago and it does not say so on the card itself and on their website, nothing is mentioned about it being signature...However, the card with the $99 fee (Select Card) DOES show on the card as a Signature on the website and the benefits ARE mentioned on their website...
