First of all I DID NOT violate ANY TOS. Another poster did I was just backing him up. Second of all EVERY CITIZEN under FEDERAL law can freeze there credit reports. Your acting like it is illegal or something. Third of all I pay 30 bucks a month to your company for credit monitoring services and unless you WANT ME TO CANCEL that I would stop attacking paying members.
I used to have a clearpoints visa credit card from them and they closed it.The limit was 8k.I had a balance of around 800+ and immediately paid it off.The reason was because of my credit score. It went down from 730-690.I asked them if it's possible to re open it and they said in order for them to reconsider my request they need to pull my credit report which wl be a hard inquiry.I told them just to close it.Never had any late payment on this card and my other cards.I don't like them.

@Anonymous,
Everyone is entitled to freeze reports and no one is disputing that. The MODs here are just reitering the rules of the forum. It is an online forum and as such anyone who wants to post and be on it have to abide by it. They are not the ones making the rules.
The MODS do not work for MYFICO as it is a volunteer thing and do not get paid whatsoever. So whether you decide to stop paying your subscription or not does not benefit them.
I brought the popcorn!
First off, let me get something clear. There is no grey area here, no unethical, or anything like that will be said. Freezing your reports is fine, there's nothing wrong with that and discussion about it is of course allowed. Freezing your reports to try to force a creditor to pull a certain report is a forbidden topic. End of discussion. Violations of that will be dealt with.
myFICO is a forum that is supplied by the Fair Isaac Corporation for it's members and guests. It has rules and guidelines that are set forth in the TOS. Administrators and Moderators make sure that the board adheres to these rules. When something comes up, that we are unsure of, we forward to the legal department for a ruling. Some things are just out of our hands. We follow the rules too.
We are aware that there are other sites out there that do not follow this same mindset. Although we have no control or concern with them, we do with our own boards. I as a moderator get no thrill out of having to "police" the boards. I prefer to help those that need help. We are supposed to be adults here dealing with adult issues. That is not always the case. If you have a question or concern, please feel free to contact one of us. We would be happy to deal with it, or if we are unable to, we will forward it up the ladder.
Thank you for your time and understanding,
Your friendly neighborhood mod,
Shogun

I will wait for the letter and depending on what it says, I will decide then whether to close account and fight to have all info about this card removed from my credit reports as well.
I just wanted to give an update. I have phoned BBVA Compass three times today about the suspended account. I have basically wasted 4 hours of my life today talking to different people and getting different stories and wasting time on hold. Last night I was told that the account was "under review" and I would receive a letter about it. This morning being not happy about that answer I phoned back and a seemingly nice lady explained that there was suspected fraud on the account and that is why it was suspended. She then transferred me to the fraud department I believe. After being on hold about 93 minutes a southern sounding lady got on the line then it went DEAD and no one was there. I then called back from my cell and this time after being given the Fraud department line, the gentleman transferred me to that department, and I was disconnected after 70 minutes of being on hold. I then called the phone number the gentleman gave me and I received the number is not in service. Mind you, I read the number back to the gentleman twice to ensure I wrote it down correctly and both times he said that was the number. Anyway, I called another time and asked to be transferred and again afer about 70 minutes on hold I was disconnected. I then figured out it may of been my cell provider discconecting the call that was on hold.
I then phoned back one last time and spoke to another gentleman about all of this that has happened today. He then looks over the account and says it was not the Fraud that put the account on suspension, but the back office. At this point I was boiling. I asked how can three differenct people read the same account screen and tell me different things. He then suggested I was not phoning the same department. I then told him just to close the card because it was not worth the anxiety and that wanted a letter stating it was closed. I called their customer service hideous. He said he would submit the request.
Good luck to everyone else that has this card. My card was placed on suspension on the 14th. I used the card with no issue on the 12th, spending $213. I am still not sure why it was suspended and now I frankly do not care. Maybe it was something I did with other card approvals. This weeked I spend about 3K on my Citi Prestige to meet the spend threshold without any issue and will pay that off by the end of the week once all the transactions post.
Sorry for writing a small novel.

I like novels
Such an atrocious behaviour is uncalled for. 4 hours of your life you can't get back. I applied also and will see how it holds up. Sorry it happened to you.
They sure are quick to pull excuses out of their sun....no go thingy...
Lol.
