Why do you say that? I have been happy with them other than the dude processing a CLI request for me without warning me that I would be taking a HP for a no since my account wasn't a year old. I can't really get mad about no CLI when my spend was only 10% of the $2K limit they gave me anyway (Comcast + cell bill).
They are great for a lot of people.
Personally, I find them rude.
Only bank I have ever told to get bent and then hung up on. All because I needed to reset my password

Yeah customer service issues happen everywhere unfortunately.
I definitely did have a heck of a time with their website when I applied for the card but I have just stuck to using the app and been happy since.

Lol, sorry everyone, but they will always be in my doghouse for their epic fail of having the NBA Amex card. A card like that should never be georestricted just like a conservative bank like UMB should never get a DC Comics credit card
. Carry on!
Just to clarify, the NBA AmEx was not geo-restricted. It was actually one of the most widely available BBVA (Compass) CCs as their other CCs were more geo-restricted, save for those who found an alternate workaround. The FOTM demand + blog effect (just like the OCCU Beaver/Duck CC) is what drove the demise in the UW changes. So, to some it was an epic fail, but lots of us who still have the card, was a success. So while I started part of the FOTM for that particular CC long ago, BBVA still remains a great FI for those who find value in their products.
@AverageJoesCredit Disco does rule for that alone...
BBVA isn't horrible, but the clearpoints card is very limited considering other cards and higher % of CB to earn. Mine is in the SD, i maybe will ask for a CLI at some point, but with no usage, i doubt i'd see much if any. cranberry padding at it's best or cannon fodder, either way
Yep. My 12th statement was 12/27 and no soup for me either.
I also used one of their simple cash back offers and haven't been paid for it. The cash back amount shows as my lifetime earnings but was never credited and when I contacted them about it, it took three days for them to respond to my SM and they told me that it should eventually show up as a credit on the card. Totally blew me off.
But it's still a 3% card so I'll keep it. I haven't used more than $500 or so of my $2K limit at once so my limit is appropriate for me but they send me BT offers all the time which obviously $2K does nothing for.
