If given a choice, I would convert my and DW's ClearPoints cards to Cash Rewards cards just to take advantage of the 5 and 10% gas and restaurant offers.
I didn't even know we had Marathon here in CA until I saw one in Napa last weekend, but the closest one is ~30 miles away and Chevron (and Shell) is priced about $0.20 - $0.30/gallon more than anyone else. I'd max out that $2.50 in less than a tank here.
I think the only other offer I've gotten that we have over here was Rite Aid (I had DW use that one up!)
4% at any station definitely is nice though
Yeah, the offers aren't the best in the world, but being stacked on top of 4% isn't too bad. There's usually not more than 3 or 4 cents different in most stations here. Of course, gas is still in the 2.80's here too.
Marathons are pretty common here, but I do pass 2 Chevrons on the way to work. I've gotten the 10% up to $5 offer for Circle K several times as well, which is probably the most common stations in my area.
We have Circle K, but only convenience stores. Right now I have Panera, Mountain Mikes, Marathon, some makeup brand and Walmart+ offers. The closest Chevron over here is $4.60 something for 87 while Exxon is $4.39. ARCO takes credit cards over here now and they're $4.29 and if I really want to go on the *cheap*, Moe's Gas is $4.07 but that place is a zoo to get in and out of with cars backed up into Camden Ave all day long.
With Safeway rewards I can get $1/gallon off the $4.39 price for 10 points but they're pumps don't trip the 4% on PNC due to being part of a grocery store. (I end up using AOD here due to the weird coding.)

I've been watching and waiting for a definitive announcement, as I already have each of the 3 currently available personal PNC cards. Will I end up with a 2nd Cash Rewards card, will they roll over the CL from the Clearpoints card and close it in lieu of an actual conversion, will they just close the tradeline, or ??

No one is really sure at this point. The only info that can be gotten from the transition site is as follows:
"October 2021 - Your existing BBVA USA accounts, products, and services are anticipated to convert to PNC"
Under the credit card specific tab it states:
"You will receive a credit card specific conversion notification in the mail in late August 2021. This notification will include any changes you may experience to your terms, fees and rewards program.
Be sure to check back regularly as we will provide updates as they become available."
That also makes me wonder about the total exposure with PNC....and if they would end up tossing CLD's around once the conversion takes place?
And with the sheer number of additional accounts they are absorbing from BBVA, is that going to eventually push them to create a new PNC card to accomodate a larger rewards structure?

When my walmart card went from sychrony to capital one, my limit stayed the same but they decreased my apr by 3%. I hope that happens.
PNC and low APR's usually don't go together. Love PNC, but they don't have good APR's on their cards!
Hopefully if they PC my BBVA card they don't put it at their typical 20%+ rate.
My hope is if they do PC the card to something already existing in their lineup, its not the points card. That card is a way to get people to put more on deposit, and with out that, doesnt give much back.

Agreed! My PNC Cash Rewards card @Anonymous.99% is my highest APR card besides the Summit store card.
