Re: Bbva credit card integration update

I'm in the same boat - being converted to the Points card.

I'm sure the "What if I want a different credit card?" question in the FAQ is rooted in an attempt to reduce the levels of abuse directed toward CSRs and not to encourage cardholders to hold out any hope.

Re: Bbva credit card integration update

This is probably wishful thinking, but if the PNC Points card gets the targeted offers like the Cash Rewards card, it will at least have some utility. These offers aren't bad, if you already spend money with these merchants. Since this is a 4/3/2 card, you would be essentially earning 13% on the Burger King offer, 9% on the Circle K offer, and 12% on the Walmart Grocery Pickup offer. The 5% - 10% on these offers are automatically credited as statement credit, and the other 2-4% goes into the rewards total. IF the Points card does that, you'd at least get the statement credit for the bulk of it instead of the wonky points structure. E49DE9F0-188D-445B-A72D-200347DC7C08.png

I really wonder why they even put the BBVA clear choice to either points or cash back as option as should of just stated points.  We have I would say enough DP's that no one is getting PC'ed from Clear Points to the cash version for some obvious reasons.   I will just as mentioned use it every 6 months for $5 and keep it in the SD.  Just a worthless card imho.

To make it somewhat worthwhile and earn bonus points, you have to get a PNC checking account. I think that this was part of their plan.

I said the same thing. What was the point of the chart if we are all getting pnc points. No PC means its closed for me.

BBVA card conversion (PNC is lame)

Has anyone else received their welcome packet from PNC? I got mine and I am so disappointed. I loved my BBVA clearpoints, I got to pick a 2% and 3% category and unlimited 1% on everything else. The card pnc is giving me is this points card and it is TOTAL crap. It's 4 points per dollar which equates to less than 1% cash back 🤣🤣🤣 not to mention the whole rewards program is so confusing. BBVA also had pretty good offers, not quite on par with amex offers but they were pretty good. I don't believe pnc does offers. I also happen to be a PNC banking customer for some years now so maybe they will let me switch to the cash rewards card which is a good card. I would have been happy with that. I wanna know if anyone else has got their packet and what's happening to their card. Any thoughts?

@Egaffne2 - see posts/discussion upthread.  Doubtful, but good luck if you can switch the product post-conversion ☺️

PNC's offers are pretty decent on their Cash Rewards card, but I have no idea if the Points card offers them. The Points card is so crappy that you can't seem to find anyone who has one, but that's about to change! Errbody finna git one or three!  😂🙈

Re: BBVA > PNC credit card integration update

Everybody in this thread needs to write and complain about the PNC points card although I doubt PNC will care or even read the emails/letters. I've banked with PNC for some years now and I know how they operate, they can care less about what customers think. For them it's strictly profits. The only reason I haven't closed my PNC checking account yet is because it's a huge pain switching your primary account over. People should remember that PNC hasn't made its money by attracting customers with good service and great products, no they have made their money through acquisitions and mergers and playing the game. Like I said it's all about profits and not customer experience.
