It also makes it harder to checkt that you are receiving the correct cashback, and I suspect some people don't bother!

For these reasons, I am canceling my BCE and will transfer the CL to my other Amex cards when I am allowed to do so...I have to wait for BCE to be 13 mos old.
ED is a little bit better. I am struggling to determine which card I should keep: Costco or ED. I will be moving to a place might be far away from Costco. Yet I love the card so much.

Personally I would keep the ED even if you shop at costco... I don't like the TE card since you are required to keep your Costco membership to have the card. ED has no requirement and you have potional to earn more unless you really do majority of your grocery shopping at Costco. Personally I have no card and such we only buy what we can carry.
TE card is only worth it is you buy a lot of gas and dining since you get 3% at Gas and 2% for dining. Costco shopping is 1%

The one bonus about amex TE is only having to carry one card to goto costco :-) i know its very minor but its something with that being said i do use my BCP at costco , and will use my fidelity amex when i eventually get it.

I am using my Mothers membership since she has executive membership  and Don't mind not getting the 2% back from there. saves me $55 from getting the membership myself

One drawback was I couldn't apply for the TE card which before my BCE was a target since i wanted an Amex card

Yeah my amex te is pretty much in my wallet just to use as ID to get into costco, I don't like having to wait once an year to get check for your cashback. My mom got that card back before i got most of my cards so its fine. I put SW on that card i think and thats it. I have other cards that do the categories better I think. CSP handles travel and dining. Use BCP for gas when freedom and IT aren't on gas duty. Going to probably get SM card soon as my gas and amazon card.
