BCE cash back question

I'm putting BCE in the SD. Amex wore me down with endless errors requiring lengthy phone call to cs. Info provided by phone cs cannot be relied upon. Amex chat is where brains go to die. I give up!

There is pending cash back on this month's statement per the online account info. Will that just be a forfeiture or is there a way to use the cash back? The pending cash back amount is not enough to pay a psychiatrist which I will need if I continue to use BCE. Smiley Happy

Thanks much!

Re: BCE cash back question

I don't know the answer to your specific question, but I wholeheartedly agree with you about Amex BCE being one of the most annoying cards in the marketplace.  I have had numerous credit cards over the years, some for decades.  I only had the BCE for 18 months, but I probably spent more time in chat sessions or on the phone with Amex customer service reps during that 18 months than all my calls to other lenders added together over four decades.  And, yes, they are useless.

Re: BCE cash back question

I used to use it more for the grocery spend, but recently found out it does not code as that where I shop the most. That combined with having two other cards with that type of spend, it has become obsolete. And to add insult to injury, the minimum redemption amount has indeed made this one a bit bothersome to worry about anymore.

So I made the decision to go strictly MR with Amex, as I have other cash back cards.

AMEX's cashback redemption and model is like water torture...
