BILT Pay Rent question

Paid my rent as usual on my BILT card. I got a email that said this and for the life of me I can not find what they are talking about.  As a site note BILT has added so many things to their product its way to cluttered of a app and website but thats just my opinion.

"Your payment was processed successfully through your new BillPay account. However, we noticed that you did not pre-authorize the payment in your Bilt account. On all future payments, make sure to first authorize your payment within the "Pay Rent" tab of your Bilt account (up to 5 days in advance)."

Does this only appear when I am near rent day? Thanks people!

"Going forward, members living at a property outside of the Bilt partner network can pay rent in one of two ways:

  • Pre-authorize the payment in the Bilt app; this includes selecting the rent amount and how you want to pay rent (Bilt Mastercard for 1x points and waived fees, Alaska Visa for 3x miles but with fees, etc.)
  • Submit rent payments as usual through the property’s payment portal, making sure to submit the payment within five days of authorizing it in the Bilt app"

Re: BILT Pay Rent question

Thanks for the reply but in the gui on my iPhone app and online via the web I do not see that feature, button or whatever they wanna call it.  Its stating I must have "pre-approval"  for the amount.

I would wait until 5 days before rent day and then go to the "Pay Rent" tab of your Bilt account, as instructed.

If that doesn't work for, I'd try calling Bilt and asking them to walk you through it.

I don't get what they're trying to say either.
I also want to join you in bi¡tçhing on how much bull 💩 has been introduced into the app I will never freaking use and makes it unnecessarily complicated. So much nonsense!! 😒

Re: BILT Pay Rent question

Thanks maybe they read this. The whole app is a mess total clutter and remarkably what you owe now on the card is in ultra tiny font. Its stupid and irritating. BILT CEO likes to be viewed as hip their interface is anything but hip.
