BML CLI trick?

Is there a way to trick Bill Me later to see if you can get a CLI without calling the number, like the shopping cart trick for credit cards? Has anyone tried to buy something to see if you could get approved with bml to increase your credit limit but back out of the final stages of buying something or can you not do that with BML? just wondering if anyone has done that before I try it.

AFAIK, if you try to make a purchase using BML that exceedes your current available credit, they'll do SP to see if they can up your CL.  However, some people on here have said on occasion that it accidentally goes through as HP (not sure how frequent that is).  In any case, as this is a hidden TL, I honestly don't see a point in going for a CLI that isn't needed.

Re: BML CLI trick?

I don't think that's a useful suggestion, Creditaddict. Amazon hasn't accepted Bill Me Later in years. Since 2009 I believe.

I would just call the number and find out if they can raise it. And if you dont want a hard pull just make sure to ask them before hand that if you apply for a increase will it be a soft pull. good luck

+1 to this.  Why is the OP looking for a BML CLI without purchase?

Wasn't really for need of it. It was more of a research question to better understand the company's format.

I know they are supposed to soft you ever time try to go over your CL but i havent been able to get them to raise mine for a long time...they continually base it off a credit report from last July...its very strange...?
