I have a few questions on the BOA Accelerated Rewards Card, Travel Card, and their PC process....
I know it's not the best points card, but I'm trying to strategize a few apps over the next 6 months and want to be as informed as possible. Thanks in advance!!
Bump for BofA help

- If I PC my Cash Rewards Visa to the Accelerated Amex Version, am I able to backdate my member since date? I know this is different than the standard Amex products so not quite sure...It's not a "backdate" per se, but your account open date remains the same. The only thing that changes is the account #. Out of curiosity, why go in reverse with the rewards structure? The Accelerated Rewards AMEX is a point card and doesn't offer the same point value as the Cash Rewards. You may want to compare the features for both cards on their website to determine which would be of more value to you.
- Are there any blackout dates on travel with this one? The Cash Rewards is not a travel-specific card per se. If you booked any type of travel or redeemed points for this one, you may encounter some restrictions. The Accelerated Reward AMEX accumulates at 1.25 point per $1 which can be used for travel. However, the Travel Rewards card is a much better option than the AMEX one (1.5 points per $1) and is issued with EMV chip if you travel abroad.
- Can anyone tell me their experience with this card? I have the Privileges Cash Rewards and the Accelerated Rewards, but not my primary cards for travel.
- Anyone have experience with BOA's Travel Rewards Card? Good? Bad? The Travel Rewards card is a good product if you travel frequently, no AF, no FTFs. You may also want to compare/research the Chase Sapphire Preffered or the Barclay Arrival card as well (if looking for travel benefits).
- When PCing to a different product with BOA, do they close the old TL and open a new one? They close the old account and issue a new account # internally - your CRAs will reflect the new account # upon reporting with the original open date. No HP to PC. Conversion can take up to 45 days though.

Thanks, everyone!
@FinStar - the only reason I was considering it was to backdate. Since that's not really an option, I'll stick to the original plan of apping for the Travel Rewards card or BSP when I think my reports/scores are good enough to stand a chance. I have the 3-2-1 Cash Rewards card and have enjoyed the cash benefits of it (the extra money in savings is nice) but I think I'd much prefer points that can get me home more often to see my family. Really appreciate your input!
Almost forgot.. I would app Chase but I had a negative banking experience with them almost 4 years ago so not sure if I'm blacklisted. I wouldn't mind that card but don't want to waste a HP if I am.
Well, it depends on the negative "experience". If you had any type of CO, especially if unpaid or IIB, then it's likely they may not approve you. The same would apply if you had any other accounts with them that went into default (e.g. checking/OD, auto loans, etc).
None of those apply. Basically I went to open an account with them and they were going to charge me a monthly maintenance fee due to my credit. At first I paid the deposit to open an account, but after thinking about it I withdrew the funds and opened an account with Bank of America instead. I thought it was ridiculous that I should have to pay them for a basic checking account... I'm just not sure if that left a bad taste in their mouths. I mean, my credit wasn't the greatest but IIRC the fees would have added up to approx. $150 for the year that I had to keep the account in good standing. Maybe a way I can find out is to try and open another checking account...
EDIT: I guess it was their standard checking account fee if you don't direct deposit a pre-set amount... I wonder why they told me it was based on my credit? **puzzled**
