BOA CLI's

Are they good with auto-CLI's? I read some mixed reviews on here, but after 2009 or so apparently they got more conservative. Can anybody comment on this?

And are customer initiated CLI's always HP like Chase? 50/50?

I'm not sure how good they are on auto-CLI's, but I called after I was approved for $700 and asked them to bump the CL up to $2,000 with the same HP, and they said no problem. I don't know if it is relavent to the question asked, but I thought it might be worth mentioning if you are considering to apply.

Customer initiated are like 90-100% successful. I did 1 HP recently and got $10k more on two cards.

It's also been my experience that BofA is one of the few banks that a hp tends to be worth it. I took a hp increase from $3k-$10k. In actuality I probably should have high balled it since there was a chance I could have received higher.

Re: BOA CLI's

Thanks. I was recently approved for 3k on the travel rewards. Card hasn't arrived yet. I called in and took another HP and requested they match my 16.6k limit on Amex.

Did I ask for too much? Hopefully they counter offer. I honestly just want a 5 digit limit, so 10k is satisfactory for me, for now.

Nope, they'll counter if you're eligible for an increase. It's always better to high ball, particularly if a hp is involved.

Re: BOA CLI's

I have a delinquent account with them that falls off at the end of the year. I ended up paying all the money back so I didn't burn them just a delinquent account. 120 days late. Hopefully that doesn't come into play given the age. Can you comment on that?

Re: BOA CLI's

Too late now and suppose it may yet go your way in this comparatively forgiving economic climate but it's quite a lot to ask with a 120 still showing IMO. In any case, nothing ventured nothing gained, gl!

Re: BOA CLI's

Shucks. They counter offered with 7500. Should I be happy? Can I recon that even though it isn't a denial?

I'd be happy; it wasn't a denial! You can try to recon if you feel like you should have a bigger increase. When I've reconned, they used the same HP so there isn't really anything to lose.
