BOA CLI

To my surprise, I got CLI on my BOA account. My card CL was $1300. I asked for CLI online to $2000. I checked my account today and they increased CL  to $7100. This is 99/500 account which became unsecure around Sept 2008. I guess BOA does have a heart.

I like BoA a whole lot. I've found the customer service to be terrific, the products to be top of the line, and the ease of banking to be the absolute best. And, at least for the moment, they seem to be weathering this credit storm as smartly as possible. I've not seen any evidence of  extreme knee-jerk AA against their customers, they're still lending, and they're giving reasonable consideration to reasonable requests for CLIs, tailoring their decisions to each customers unique situation.

Have they been softing you a lot lately?

I just got a BofA cli too. 15k to 18k. The week before my Amex blue was cut in half again, to 500. Oh well.

Congratulations. BoA and Citi are both tremendous in my opinion. Started out around 12-15 months ago with both.

BoA initial line = $3,500 after 3 or 4 CLI's = $19,000 (got the card in Dec 2007)

Citi initial line = $8,500 after 3 or 4 CLI's = $17,300 (got the card in October 2007)

Never a hard pull from either and service has been very good...

wow that's terrific concord, congrats!  so far my experience with boa has been wonderful too.  they've been super generous.  i know things can change pretty quickly in this climate, so i'll remember fondly these times, whether or not things head south at some point in the future with boa is anybody's guess

Congrats, concorduser and ficonovice on your great CLI. I also received a cli from 1500 to 3500, my third cli, this time using the luv button. My card also was a 99/500 that unsecured around 9/08 as well. Hey Concorduser, I am just curious what has been your spending pattern on your BoA CC.

A credit analysist told at BOFA told me that if you're credit report looks good and you maintain your UTL no higher than 40%, they WILL give you a CLI.

You gotta love them.
