BOA Pre-Approved Offers on website (none for me ......)

Why can't I seem to get any pre-approved offers from BOA?

I have checking, savings and Worldpoints Visa.

Does this mean that I have less of a chance of getting another BOA card?

There were none for me either............

However, I've been wondering......I have opted out of promotional inquiries, wonder if this is why?

Yes, this is why.  It took me about 5 weeks to get approvals after opting back in.

Re: BOA Pre-Approved Offers on website (none for me ......)

I had to change the way I input my name in order to get any offers.  When I entered First Name Middle Initial Last Name - nothing.  However, I finally decided to enter the way I always submit my online applications for anything (First Name + Middle Initial  in the First Name box and then my last name).  That pulled up offers for me.

You definitely won't get one if you're opted out, because they can't soft your reports.

busywoman, I can't get any now either, and I have a WorldPoints card. Maybe the primary purpose of that site is to get non-BofA customers on board. I think that all that ever pops up are the same three cards, with differing CL's.

I would think that they'd be happy to hook another card into you, as long as everything else looks OK. I know we have a bunch of members here with multiple BofA cards.

Thank you for your responses. I haven't opted out so guess I'll stand by.

Perfect payment history with BOA so no issue there. All baddies +2 years old now so will play the waiting game.

Where/how did you opt back in?

Alternatively, how can I check my opted in/out status?

There's a website to opt in (there's a link in here somewhere).  The only reason I knew I had opted out was because I pulled a real EQ and it had a notation somewhere that I was not receiving offers or something to that effect.  Sorry to be vague, I just don't exactly remember how it read.

There's also a number you can call to opt in/out.  (My browser is acting very funny and I can't open too many tabs today, or else I'd look.)

You can opt in at the same site you use to opt out:
