BOA Question?????

Hello,

I just received a denial for the unsecured BOA Plat Plus but I did get an offer to open a regular secured card.  I called and tried to recon but they said all they could offer right now is the secured.

Should I open it to get in with BOA?   This was not the 99/500 offer.
What do you think is best?
Thanks,
Robert

Re: BOA Question?????

BOA is a good CCC to have a secured card. They offered 99/500 card and I accepted the card. Even if you get the full secured card they would make it unsecure it in about 12 months with good payment history. If you are interested and need a secured card, then my suggestion go for it and get it.

Thanks concorduser,

Here is my credit history below.  I am just not sure if I really need the BOA Secured Card.  Maybe after a year I can re-apply and hopefully get the unsecured???

Re: BOA Question?????

BK just discharged? You've done well. Chances are most prime issuers won't touch you for years. I would let everything age at this point and work on a future CLI on those Navy cards. Pretty much anything else you could get now and in the foreseeable future would be subprime and relatively low limits. Congrats on the Navy lines. Smiley Happy

Re: BOA Question?????

No, you don't need a secured card. lol. Just hang and let time pass and apply again later for a prime again.

Re: BOA Question?????

Thanks to all of you for your advice.  :-)   It is very much appreciated, you have no idea how much.

I am going to just let things age and keep utilization low and let nature take its course.

I am aware that I am lucky to have NFCU and that they were generous.  I am very happy and will now take it slow.

Thanks again....

Bobby
