BOA Secured Card Convertable to Non-Secured?

Bank of America - Emerging Credit Platinum Plus Visa is the name of the Card listed in the online Banking.

I remember about a year ago when opening this secured card account I paid them a deposit to open it at $500.
When I tried a few months ago to get a CLI they said it could not and also additional deposit would not allow a CLI.
Is this correct?
Bad CSR?

Any chance of Graduating up to an Un-Secured BOA card from this one?

Its my understanding that they graduate you after 9-12 months with a great acct history and they'll send the deposit back to you. Prior to that, they won't consider a CLI at all.

If it is a fully secured card it would become unsecure at 12 months. If it is 99/500 card it would become unsecure in 9 months. Once the card becomes unsecure, you'll be eligible to ask for CLI's. I have a 99/500 card and it is due to become unsecure in 4 months.

I actually have TWO Bank of America Secured Cards, long story.

However, if you wish to have your CL increased, you just have to send additional deposit to a special handling division. I have mailed several checks to the Secured card division and I usually see an CLI online within 1 week.

My first card will be 1 year old in May, the other in November.

I hope that helps
