BOA Secured Card Hard Pull for each additional deposit

I was wandering does BOA pull a hp report every time you make an additional security deposits?

Also, apparently for every deposit the clock on unsecuring the card is reset. I would recommend you just leave the card at the current limit and wait for it to unsecure.

My DW just increased her limit at 8 month. She knew about the HP but we didn't about the reset.

Well, I hope this new limit helps her to get better limits on her other cards.

Yes, they do every single time, i know last year when i had my BOA Secured Credit Card they did.....

If you put a freeze on your reports to prevent the HP, would they reject your addtional deposit?  Just a thought....

Looking from the outside, I think the rules for the "credit game" are not followed the same way by all the lenders. That's why we have SP CLI, HP CLI, HP denial, HP for approve, some SP credit cards, etc.

BoA just decided to HP every credit application or increase. We like SP CLI from Discover and Amex and we don't question why they do it. I'll be happier if BoA SP CLI for extra deposits, but they don't. If we don't like the HP we need to start as high as we can (up to 10K) or don't do deposits. AFAIK there are other secured cards that don't let you put extra money, some do not graduate, others let you deposit without HP, some even give you interest.

Some things I don't like about BoA, like HP for extra deposit, AF that some people can't remove, but I like the cash rewards program.

We need to know the rules for each card we want or get and play the best we can with it.
