I have a BOA with a low $600 credit limit. How are they with CLI's? Do they ever auto increase? I've been banking with them for almost 5 years now, but my credit card is new. I have a good relationship with them, but I don't want to take a hard pull if they usually want you to wait 4- 6 months like some other's for increases.

***edit: Sorry, the info below applies to cap1, not BofA. Whoops. ***
What card do you have? At a 600 limit, chances are you have a "credit steps" card, which offers an auto increase after the first six months. If that's what you have, they won't do any other increases.
The good news is they soft pull for any CLI request, so it's not a big deal to call and ask if you want to try.
Your best bet for success though, is to use the card and pay in full every month, never be late, and show good history for 6 to 12 months while you are rebuilding your credit. After that use the Exec route to get a big CLI and product change to a better card. The steps are detailed here if you click the green card in my sig.

You may have misread the post as referring to Capital One; they are talking about Bank of America. Bank of America lets you request a credit limit increase whenever you want. You can do it everyday if you want to.
Whoops - could have sworn that said Cap1. I need a vacation.

LOL. Don't we all
From my experience, I've had their platinum plus card since 2008 when I first opened a checking/savings acct with them. I've requested a CLI twice since then and have only increased from 1500 to 2300 to 2500. The first request from 1500 to 2300 was a HP. A couple months later it was an auto from 2300 to 2500.
edit: I've always used the luv button on their website to request my CLI. On the page, they say they may pull your report so YMMV

Oh okay, that's good to know. I just didn't want to be to hasty. Some creditor's like you to have a bit of history with a card before they'll increase. So I wanted to be sure BOA didn't have that sort of thing in place and I waste a HP.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Although I've had a good banking relationship with them for about 5 years now, for some reason, it took SEVERAL attempts before they would approve this credit card. I almost gave up. So it seems they are finiky with me with the credit card, so I may wait it out and give it 6 months before trying for an increase.
Definitely agree with you, BoA is pretty stubborn with CLI. Hence, I only use this card for the occasionnal Add It Up rewards.
