On the topic of insurance. I'm not entirely sure how this works. The one time I had to cancel a trip, I cancelled within 24 hours of booking and BoA gave me a full refund as a 1 time waiver. They said there'd be a small fee to cancel the next time, I believe it was <$40 although I cannot remember off the top of my head.
I forgot to add a snippet about Bank Amerideals. You have ~40 local stores/restaurants to choose from that give you 5-10% (usually 10%) cash back. Cap One and Barclay don't have anything like this. Examples of things I've redeemed, 10% at Starbucks (came out to $0.18 lmao!), 5% at Autozone, and a straight $2.45 at In n Out just for shopping there. There are also deals for 5 guys burgers, Petco, some fancy restaurants around my area... It's nice to have the option, cool guide when I want to decide where to take a girl for date night too...
Bank Amerideals isn't exclusive to this card; other cards/accounts get it too. I find that AmeriDeals returns stores close to my spending pattern (eg fast food restaurants/...), while amex sync gives more "exclusive" high-priced stores, with the occassional good stuff (eg $5 off walmart/amazon/...)
I guess I'm looking more on the Visa signature travel benefits: https://usa.visa.com/visasignature/benefits.jsp or http://www.askmrcreditcard.com/chase/marriott-rewards/premier/travel-benefits/
auto (secondary) insurance, lost luggage insurance, trip delay/cancellation
FWIW, it's a good card to earn points (max of 2.625% on normal spend), but it's hard to redeem it towards big ticket travel spend (if you have other cards), only smaller spend (eg uber, amusement park tickets)
for bigger spend, use other cards for their benefits

I have the bankamericard travel rewards card and I also qualify for the 75% preferred bonus. All was well in the world up until 2/14/2015. Before this date, I was getting the 75% bonus. However after this date, i'm only getting 10% bonus rewards as you can see from the rewards tab on my online statement.
I have screenshots where you can see the bonus amount mysteriously changes: http://postimg.org/image/dir9zkgcb/
I've called up bofa twice now, and most reps are clueless. They have initiated a "research review request" to look into it.
Has this happend to anyone else? On the rewards tab of your online account dashboard, do you still see the "Bonus: Preferred Rewards - Platinum honors - 75% bonus?" Mine has since changed to "10 percent customer points bonus".
Thanks for any help or insight! Love this card if I can get back to receiving the 2.625% bonus.
