BOFA showing on Transunion and Experian But Not Equifax

I checked my reports at another site and I was recently added as an AU to a bank of america credit card from my mother. This card has 16 years of experience on it and no bad payments and a very small balance. Why would it be that it wasn't reporting on equifax but it showed up on experian and transunion accounts?

Re: BOFA showing on Transunion and Experian But Not Equifax

i just re-ordered my score for transunion from myfico.com and the FICO score jumped from 670 to 755!!!! But I really need the equifax score to do the same. I am subscribed to scorewatch and it hasn't updated so I know that it hasn't been posted to equifax yet. Any reasons why? Is this normal? I got worried that it was on the other two and not the one i really need.

they never really show up at the same time; just because it's on one doesn't mean it will show up at the same time on your other reports, unfortunately.  you also have to remember, the weekend just passed & today is a holiday.  wait until wednesday or so.

Re: BOFA showing on Transunion and Experian But Not Equifax

BOFA has my mortgage.  They report three months behind for it.  Very annoying.  Don't know if they do the same for CCs.  I suppose I don't know if they do the same thing for other people's mortgages either, but take that for what it's worth.

Re: BOFA showing on Transunion and Experian But Not Equifax

Equifax is often behind. It takes turns with TU in being the caboose.

However, there have been many posts complaining that EQ wasn't showing their AU cards. This certainly isn't true for everyone, but it has been reported enough (beginning in early 2010) that I think there's some sort of issue.

It's not for the credit bureaus to decide whether to display AU cards. If lenders want to disregard them, that's their right, but the cards should be listed. That's why FICO 08 backed away from excluding AU cards --it looked like it might be a violation of the Equal Opportunity Credit Act. (There are still many spouses --generally women --who have little or no credit in their own names, as they are mostly just AU's. Ignoring the AU credit could make it very difficult for them to establish their own credit, especially if they are homemakers. That's how the EOCA is involved in all this.)

Ok. If it does not show up on equifax for a while what is the best action I can do to try to get it to show up?

Re: BOFA showing on Transunion and Experian But Not Equifax

I'm an AU on a Chase card and it reported to all 3 for a number of years.  However, about 8 or 9 months ago it stopped showing up on my Equifax report while still appearing on the other 2. It doesn't affect my credit score one way or the other so I never checked up on it, but I'm wondering if Equifax has changed their policy on reporting AU cards.  If this is the case it may never show up.  I would call Bank of America and make sure they are reporting to EQ, and if so I would call Equifax and find out why it doesn't appear.
