BT Fee Question

I was trying to give a friend of mine advice:

He told me he received a bt offer in the mail from barclays and wanted to use it (it had a 0% offer for some amount of time, i dont remember) and he asked how it worked and blah blah blah, what i didnt know was...

When they charge you a bt fee, does the fee run with the 0%,or is the bt fee subject to the normal interest rate?

Thanks in advanced

Re: BT Fee Question

The fee usually is just a one time fee.

Re: BT Fee Question

I understand it is a one time fee, but is it interest bearing?

IE would you need to make the minimum payment PLUS the 3% fee the first month in order to not accrue interest, or is it part of the 0% interest balance?

Re: BT Fee Question

I am not too sure on that, I am sorry. I would guess its interest free however. Have you tried calling your bank?

Re: BT Fee Question

The fee is not part of the bt so it would be at that cards APR.
