Re: BT advice, please...

I have never had any problems with Barclay and have done small BT's with them, certainly much less than the 50% that the OP is proposing. That being said, I would not recommend a 50% BT with Barclay's.

In fact, given the number of people who have had issues with Barclay's after BT, I don't really plan to do any further BT's with them. Certain lenders statistically seem to respond better to BT's, especially when you keep your utilization low. Smiley Happy

Re: BT advice, please...

ddemari, I am thinking that she should go with WF, just due to the fact that shes had the card with them for 20+ years (First Fidelity>First Union>Wachovia>Wells..LOL)

Do you agree that she should close the Amazon, and move the CL to Disney, just to have availble if she needs it? She has NO plans, or need for any new credit, except maybe for an auto loan next year. Oh, and only 1 inq. showing total between all 3 CR.

Thanks to all for the advice.. Im thinking to avoid any possible issues with Barclays at this point.

NFCU $60.4k/PenFed $22.5k/Commerce $15K/53 $11K/Synovus $14K/BBT $11K/CapOne $12K/DCU $7.5K/BMO $7.5K/Chase $14.5k/Cabelas $10K/ and many many more!
Total CL $398600, plus car and RV loan.
Ooh. Ooh. Getting closer to that $500K mark!

I think that if she really has no need for amazon visa and would benefit from the disney visa perks and lower apr, then go ahead and have them move amazon over to disney. I personally like the amazon visa, but its more of useful card for me.
