can you pay off a USAA car loan with a 0% BT check from another lender?

But I would only do it if the amount is small and you know you will be able to pay it off before the 0% goes away.

  I got a big raise Monday so i'm bringing my "never pay interest" methodology over to my auto loan. lol

 

  i will be sure to pay it off... would it be better to make the check to me? or to the lender?

Congrats on the raise! I've never done anything quite what you are going to do but I would think the check should go to USAA.

Your checks come with terms so definitely read them.  Your answer will be contained in those terms.

Doesn't really matter.  The amount will be treated the same either way.  Making it to yourself adds an extra step.

I just wrote a balance transfer check to myself for 25,000. Write it to yourself and then pay it off. There's usually a 5-10 day hold, so it's better that way
