I've just been approved for the Amex BCE Literally about 30 minutes ago....I've had an AMEX corporate card through my job with my name on it since Aug 2012. Will Amex backdate my new BCE to 2012?
CONGRATULATIONS on your approval! And Good Luck on your initial CL, and on future CLI's!
As to Amex back dating, I've read many times in this Forum that backdating your consumer card from a previous or existing Amex business card is NOT possible. However,as CreditRookie22 just commented, there have been reports to the contrary! I hope you fit into this second category! Again, good luck!

Based on policy? No. Even if you had a business AmEx that you opened yourself (not issued through your company) business and personal MSD's are separate.

Some ppl have been able to do it with a corporate acct, but ymmv. Try it!!
YMMV will also depend on the CSR. DH had a corporate account from '97 which is now closed, he's an AU on my Plat card, I asked 1st time and was told "no, not with corporate accounts". When calling for another reason, asked different CSR about it and was told they needed to speak to him in order to process (DH hates talking to CSR's, so went nowhere). Just recently on another call for something else, asked the CSR about backdating and gave DH's old account number and MSD - next day his Plat showed up with backdate and shows backdate online as well.
Good Luck!

Wow, although it's a YMMV situation i guess it is possible? I've done some research on this before and this gotta be one of the first successful backdating from corporate to personal.

The only thing consistent is how CSR's I've spoken to are so inconsistent with their answers and what they will do for you. I sometimes ask the same questions to different CSR's on legitmate calls for other things to just see how inconsistent they are! My way of having fun.![]()

Oh absolutely! I learned my lesson a long time ago w/ your above statement, so that's why i never take "no" for an answer and always trying calling at least 5+ times and talk to different CSRs!
