So how does one figure out how much value they're getting out of their rewards points?
I am horrible at math, and even more horrible at figuring out which equation I should be using.
For instance, looking at a hotel room right now via HHonors. $305 per night (or $244 if I pay upfront/no refund)....or 61,073 points per night.
What equation would I use to figure out how those points are being redeemed for?
(feel so stupid asking this!)

Thats about .5 cpp value. 61,073 would equal approximately 610.73
But, for future reference, what math are you using to get there? Again, math+me+huh??
I guess that's not bad then. With HHonors points being earned at a minimum of 3 points per dollar, I'm getting 1.5 cents per dollar.

Fo the math, you just divide the dollar value you are getting "$305" by the total number of points required for the redemption.
305/61000= .005

I knew it was something simple I was missing, thank you!
