Balance transfer question?

If I transfer a balance from credit card 1 to credit card 2, does my creditor see the BT, or do they just see it as a payment? I'm moving some money around because of rates and convenience, also to consolidate some debt. Will such behavior help or hurt me in my creditor's eyes? I'm still going to be under 10% util.

Re: Balance transfer question?

It just shows you made a payment ...but you will notice it say "bank unavailable" where It would normally show YOUR bank account branch in the area where it shows where funds came from. It won't say Balance transfer but won't say your bank.

I just did a BT and that's what it says for mine

It will show as a payment and will not hurt you in any way...

Re: Balance transfer question?

I have never personally done a balance transfer, but my family member has. In all of their reports, not one says where a payment came from.
