Balance transfers on New Comenity VISA and MC cards

I just received Total Rewards Visa Signature and had planned to transfer a Walmart card balance to it, since my Total Rewards Signature CL is $13,000 (yay!), but called Comenity and they said you have to keep calling back and waiting for the balance transfer offer to appear in your account, which sometimes happens after 2 months but no guarantees.

A bit disappointed. I also have Good Sam Signature Visa and just got approved for Fuel Rewards Network, I am assuming the same for them in terms of transferring balances?

Anyone with Comenity Visa and MC is welcome to answer re/ your experience with balance transfers and and any information you have is appreciated. Thanks everyone!

You definitely have to wait for an offer, I get them all the time but never use them the terms are not that good and I get better deals from other banks.

You didn't use a financing offer on your WM card?

Tulomne, my Walmart (store) card is several years old and the goal is to get the balance off of that card - don't want to transfer anything onto it. Would like a zero clean slate on that card as it were.

Thanks Gdale! Yes, I have far better offers with Discover, and I've used Discover for BT - but my higher limits are 15k Venture and 13k Total Rewards and the goal is to transfer a few balances onto thsoe cards accomplishing several things: more zero balance cards, more utilization spread, and getting a couple of retail cards I've had for a few years zeroed out.

Total util is around 9% but I want to move a couple of things around so as not to spook Barclay after my recent app spree.

What I'm saying is that Walmart offers financing terms on purchases of a minimum.

I'm not making any purchases at Wal-mart. I want to zero out the card and transfer an old balance onto a different card.

Then it is best to apply for a card that has a balance transfer offer out of the gate.

I have cards that offer balance transfers - but I want to place the balances on these higher limit cards to spread it around. At least I will be able to do Venture (can do those ones within 10 days after opening)

I'm not looking at applying for other cards, but to best use those I just received.

In this case then, patience will be your best friend. Good luck.
