Balance transfers

If I were to make charges on a card for the cashback or points and then do a balance transfer to another card will I loose the original cashback/points I earned or does the balance transfer count as a payment? Does it very from lender to lender? Thanks for the input in advance.

The lender you are transferring the balance from sees it the same as you making the payment directly to them.  You would still earn points/miles.

No you wouldn't lose your rewards, the balance transfer counts as a payment.

I guess you already have your answer, but I'll just pile on my two cents. When you do a BT, the new lender pays off the old card. So as far as the original card is concerned, it's just a regular payment. 

You won't lose your cashback/rewards.
