Bank Of America Cards?

I'm a long haul truck driver. Got back into it again just the last few years after having been an owner-operator back in 1999 and really bringing it in.

After GM assembly plants started falling like dominoes followed by the tanked economy of 2008 i exited myself until the dust settled.

I love traversing our great American landscape and as you might imagine moving freight is premium these days even with horrible fuel rates.

Last year during one of my trips i opened a new business checking/saving account at a North Carolina Bank of America branch. I initially only wanted a personal account but the bank officer insisted with the occupation that i have it would be of benefit to go that route instead so i did.

I only held a single credit card then with US Bank but they are somewhat upper midwest regional, and especially in the south where i traveled most Bofa's were easily in reach from branches to ATM's stretching to Dallas Texas.

To make a long story short, i eventually closed that BofA small business account after some months without even considering apping for a BofA credit card.

My question is this. Since roughly August 2013 I've since thrown myself headlong into building and expanding a diverse revolving credit card portfolio to compliment my already established local bank and credit union history.

I want to add a BofA Rewards card to the current group but am not sure if BofA would expect some deeper history from my current cards which were only added in Oct and again in Dec.

The October one's are Prime cards whereas the December spree produced retail lines.

Anyone here have experience with Bank of America cards good or bad?

I need and welcome suggestions on if i should press ahead with apping in February for BofA and what to expect from them regarding their credit products. Would the fact that i briefly had a previous account with them in good standing be considered at all?

I have zero experience in their credit programs or criteria they use or who they pull etc.

Re: Bank Of America Cards?

Your EXP seems to be the highest report. I'd go for it IF your aaoa is 1.5-2 years at least. You might get a couple thousand of an approval.

Re: Bank Of America Cards?

Everything is BIGGER in Texas (you should know).
Smiley Happy
Everything that is except the consequences from my recent spree. AAoA is dust atm. It stands at an enemic 6 months.
Smiley Sad

That's why i opened this topic. I wonder if BofA might balk at that particular stat. SL is not so much an issue with me but definitely want to avoid a substandard one. Just like to get back in with them with a personal credit card this time before reopening another checking/savings combo which i did tell them i was going to do this year when i closed out last year's accnt.
