Huh, that's weird, because I can see all of my credit card transactions via BofA online banking as they hit the account, including pending ones. I never need to call customer service.

My BofA online banking shows 6 different credit card accounts, in addition to my checking account. This includes transactions, rewards points accumulated, credit lines available, credit used, etc.

Have you gone through the process of linking them in?

Hi,
I don't have any credit cards with them. I only have the checking account/savings account combination. On my checking all I can see are the posted items, no pending items - and I can see the balance plus available balance, which typically reflects pending transactions taken out - but no way to see what they are online. It sounds like they are more up to speed on the credit card side of things...

Nope I have BoA CC, Checking, and savings. I can see pendings in all three of this accounts.

Are you in Idaho or Washington?  We are serviced differently than other states and that might be why.  You might have a better interface than we have.  And that wouldn't surprise me much!  We seem to be treated like red-headed step children up here.  Smiley Happy

Re: Bank of Amer vs. WaMu checking?

I like using BoA online banking. It is well laid out and easy to use. I see all my transactions (pending payment, deposits, withdrawls,) pretty much right after i do them. The only thing is pending checks. they never show a pending check waiting to be cleared until it has cleared. That throws me off every once in a while. I just always make sure whatever check i write out i keep that amount in checking or transfer money to cover they same day i write it.

Re: Bank of Amer vs. WaMu checking?

USAA (sorry to introduce another institution) shows pending checks for everything except payments to USAA cards --maddening. I keep an old-fashioned check balance register in my purse, and all my online payments from checking are recorded here. So I just pull up the account every morning and see when something has posted.

Since I only write one physical check every 2-3 months, using a check register to note online payments has saved my sanity and doubtless avoided some OD fees.

Re: Bank of Amer vs. WaMu checking?

I don't ever write checks anymore. Haven't wrote on for the last 9 months except now I have to write one for an earnest check when I submit bids on houses.

I write only one check a month, for my rent, and I really wish I could just get rid of them altogether.
