@Anonymous wrote:I have been a card holder with BOA (Platinum Plus) for 7 years, stuck at the initial approval limit of $1k. After many years of attempting the luv button only to get auto denied, I called the back door number yesterday and disputed my denial backed with my loyalty and commitment to BOA and my 100% ontime payment history with them. The rep approved my credit limit increase to $3k.
I checked my experian score/report directly from Experian this morning and saw it had resulted in a HP on experian and they were already reporting my CLI. However, my score jumped to 699, that's up from 550-ish across the board this past February! I can now confirm my Equifax FICO (MyFico reporting) is 689 and my Experian FICO is 699!
Congratulations on your CLI and your score increase! ![]()
(I ONLY USE THIS FOR GAS 3% LOL WHEN DISCOVER NOT 5% GAS ANYMORE)

@Anonymous wrote:My BOA card gave me a auto cli from 800 to 1.4k. I then requested a CLI to 5k which they approved but that cost me a HP.
Do you have other BOA relationships i.e. checking, savings, investment? I bank primarily with Citi. However, I do have a checking, savings and Merrill Edge account with BOA. The combined balances for these accounts is less than 1.5K.
I was wondering if shifting more of my banking to BOA would help my chances of an automatic CLI.
Nope. I had average over 10k in boa saving and checking accounts fro more than half years and constantly spent over 4k per month on that card. Never got an auto cli
BOA was my first credit card. I got my plat plus 7 years ago and I have received auto line increases: 2500>4000>6000>9000. Last one I got was some time last year. I called them once to reduce my APR and they did too. I recently PCed that card to a BBR by contacting them as well.
I've held BofA credit cards for 20+/- years and have never gotten an automatic CLI with the exception of a change in my banking relationship. I would not hope for a CLI. It is almost always a hard pull. Even reallocation of credit line now requires a hard pull
yup. now someone tell me how i can add credit card icons and that garden root under my signature ? ![]()

I have 10 years banking and credit card with BofA and never had an auto CLI with them. I've don't the PIF thing and carry balance. Made no difference.
