Bank of America Cash Rewards question

My boa cash rewards visa will be one year old on 10/1/14. BOA every couple of months soft pulls my TU credit report. Last night, I was looking at my Equifax credit report and noticed under AR- Inquires something I never saw before; AR- FIA CSNA on Equifax soft inquire section. I know that is boa, I am wondering why no a year later they are softing me on Equifax? Could it be for a possible cli next month or maybe for getting a prequalified offer? I have never seen FIA CSNA on any of my other reports before.
