I'd take your business somewhere else, if you really don't need them.
You are so right! I'm totally fustrated with BOA! I haven't been a member as long as you....I've been with them about 5 years, a very good customer, and they won't even give me credit....even $300 to start would be a good gesture from my own bank. I won't apply anymore that's for sure. I also decided not to go for the secured card. Gonna continue to garden and go for something else in 2013...maybe give Citi a try.
@Anonymous wrote:I applied for a Bank of America 123 credit card last week and did not receive instant approval, but today I received a couinter offer in the mail. They offered me a SECURED Bank of America 123 credit card. My issue is...I have an almost two year Secured Captial One credit card that has served me well because after one year I was able to get approved for a Chase Freedom, Discover More, AMEX Zync. All my accounts have perfect payment history and I have no baddies. So I thought my days of "secured" credit cards were long over......do you agree??! I mean, I thought about taking their offer, but a part of me feels getting a secured card at this leg of my journey is sorta going backwards.....any thoughts?
Given the cards you have now, why would you even consider another "secured card" from BOA or anyone else? What is it you are trying to achieve that Chase/discover/amex won't give you?
IMO I'd tell BOA to pound sand - they are not known for being the best CC "partner" anyway....
