Bank of America Question

Hey guys, terrific advice on here! I'm learning so much!

I actually have a question of my own regarding the Bank of America Cash Rewards Credit Card..... Do you guys know if the main original card reports to the three major credit bureaus?

I've done some research and some folks have said that the Visa Signature card does not... :\ So will the original Cash Rewards report?

I'm thinking about applying for one to build my credit!

Thank you all very very very much!

Re: Bank of America Question

The Cash Rewards tradeline and limit will report to all Bureaus.  At least mine has for the last 2+ years (and it's a Signature).  At one point it didn't report the limit, but that changed last year.

Re: Bank of America Question

Thank you! That eases my mind a lot!

I'm going to completely start my credit from this card... What's the chances of getting approved for one? And also, say I'm doing perfect at my utilization rates and whatnot on it every month. How many months until I've established some pretty good credit in order to get an excellent auto APR? I'm pretty interested in that 2015 Mustang releasing soon! Smiley Wink

We will need more info on your credit reports.  Utilization, Inquiries, AAoA, Negatives, etc...

Back when I got mine, I still had 1 paid judgement on my CR and had to ask for reconsideration since the computer denied me.

I upgraded my account from the Platinum to the Visa Signature card in 6/2014.  I received a ScoreWatch alert in 6/2014 and the description was changed to "Flexible spending credit card."  Otherwise, the accunt still contnues to report each month.

the nonsignature version will report fine to all three CRAs.

However if you want a good basic card from BoA I would recommend the Travel Rewards: flat 1.65% cashback on everything if you have a BoA checking account. Plus no foreign transaction fee.
