Bank of America to cut 35,000 jobs?

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Bank of America said Thursday it plans to slash up to 35,000 jobs over the next three years as it absorbs Merrill Lynch and contends with the deepening recession.

Not surprising.. thats what happens when big business buys big business, lots of redundant jobs.

Over 3 years, within those 3 years BOA will hire 30000 workers at lesser cost.

This is the source article. Note they say "may", as this is all media speculation. BofA is sure to cut jobs, but I'd be shocked to see 35,000.
