Made me look, when I checked my BOA AMEX I found it cut from 2.5K to 500 bucks. I USE this card, the old limit or more each month, always PIF. Perfect customer. I have savings with them and checking. Was going to transfer all the CU volume over to them when we move. WAS is the key word here.
CSR was sorry, I'm sorry, she says so sorry, the credit dept. makes these changes based on your FICO, blah blah blah. She was just sorry that she had to be the one who answered my phone call. My FICO is higher than it was, so that is bogus and I told her so.

That's what I'm talking about....CHOPPING Peoples line of credit for no reason...good customers. Oh...and they use that standard b.s. line based on FICO nonsense. It's like they want people with bad money management skills to be customers of theirs. People how have balances up the Whazoooo and pay the monthly minimum so they can still be collecting 100 years from now. ........SAD they will get what they have coming in the end. JPMorgan Chase too....they just posted profits this quarter of $2.1 Billion just today turn on CNBC... Imagine that...

Do you bank NFCU or just credit there? There rates on accounts seem dismally low. I recently joined and await the welcome packet....
Umm, if the bank is not charging high APR interest rates on their loan acounts, how do you expect them to give depositers high interest rates?

i have to agree with 74king.
besides, it isn't the bank's money they are taking back, it's OUR money. TARP money was taken from the very pockets of the people who are getting ripped off.
now BOA is sending billions overseas. i say burn it and sew the earth with salt. TARP was a mistake and i would have closed my BOA account if i had one
in the world of banking "(almost) everybody does it" sign of the times. i'm afraid boa is in good 'big boy' company in that respect.
not saying it is right but you'll have a lot of cards to close, not just boa, if that is the criteria.
i haven't had any CLDs yet but if i did i would have no problem closing the account. i understand different people have different motivations, that's just where i stand.
i also still reserve the right to be angry about TARP and how horribly it was handled. billions wasted for nothing. i have enough gov't debt to pay back without worrying about my own personal debt. credit card schmedit card
OUCH! Sorry to hear that Contractor.
Would you mind indulging me for a few questions? I've got a new theory (again, LOL!)

My wife also got rate jacked, and she has very little debt and has FICO scores around 800.
Absolutely......shameful. That's my point that i was trying to make, people with great scores and excellent payment history's should be left alone. But they jack up rates, give haircuts to credit lines.....then take T.A.R.P. Money and post profits. Citi just posted profits this quarter. No wonder people are running in droves to Credit Unions, they can't trust these mega scam institution banks anymore.
