BankAmericards?

For Cash back rewards, Travel rewards & Better Balance Rewards, are they all issued and administered by FIA Card Services, N.A. or by Bank of America N.A.?

I have Fidelity Amex. I think FIA Card's Customer Service is pretty good, not as bad as what I have read here.

Re: BankAmericards?

BofA and FIA are one in the same.  FIA was a separate entity at one point but still managed under BoA; however, it has recently folded into the main parent entity so U/W and C/S are handled uniformly.

Re: BankAmericards?

My Merril Lynch Cash Rewards VISA is still service by FIA, but if I call into customer service they are also able to service my BOA Cash and Travel Rewards cards.

I have way too many cards ...

I got this notice for my Alaska Signature back at the end of July. I wonder if other cards are being moved over to BofA NA.adgujhndlvkgnmd.JPG

Just those that were under the FIA Card Services umbrella.  FIA CS was the former MBNA (U.S.) CC portfolio which was purchased by BofA.  Depending on the U/W for certain CC programs, BofA would segment some portfolios under FIA.

Gotcha! I always wondered what happened to MBNA...My mom had one of their CCs when I was a kid and I became an AU on it when I went to France on an exchange. Hadn't seen it since.

Re: BankAmericards?

I am bewildered as to why bofa won't use an FIA inq considering they are the same ua. And policy for both are 1 inq last a month unless it's new card? Hmm

Not sure I follow your logic.  Can you clairify further?  AFAIK, a new application HP (FIA or BoA) is not typically used for...say a CLI on an existing account.

Re: BankAmericards?

I applied for the Virgin card when I asked for a merrill they said no. Further, I said if I convert my FIA into a Bofa they said no, I asked OK then give me a CLI after I apply they said no FIA isn't bofa system. Have you seen bill choice versus Bofa billpay? Antiquated to say the least. They said I would have to reapply and that was from the 302 number if you catch my drift. He always is my last option but he even said the system arw not the same. Slowly they will be integrated which explains why the FIA website and Bofa are not one conduit.

When it comes to specific products, some do not crossover since they have to be within the same product family (legacy, partner, specialty, etc).  Hence the reason why the Fidelity CC has not unified its web platform to that of BofA's, otherwise you would be able to see that account integrated into the BofA portal.  Cannot PC Merrill+ to Fidelity or Virgin Atalantic into Merrill+, etc.  Similarly, cannot PC Travel Rewards, BBR or Cash Rewards to any of those either.
