Yes the sub is very tempting but no sense it wasting a TU pull for a pretty sure denial and don't feel like sweet talking recon to possibly get it overturned. Been trying to get rid of some of my AF cards it is kinda working but when i axe a few a few more come up that i want (amex gold). Still yet to byte on that as if was on business credit i would of been all over it, but an aaoa hit for another charge card is a tough pill to swallow esp since i have already had the bonus on the PRG. I am thinking about exiting the UR echo system as the MR one is looking alot more appealing although I would never cancel my Freedom or CS card as they are hard as heck to get back. Wait till the economy starts to soften and the banks will relax on the anti-churning crud as they need to meet their numbers. It might be many years until that happens though which ultimately is a good thing have very low unemployment and a rocking economy is better than a sign-up bonus for most.
Could be interesting, but it does seem like they are either going after high income people or setting up average to lower income people to fail or at least cary a balance for a while, $5k in 3 months is over $1500 a month, most people don't have that kind of normal spend 3 months in a row. Plus i'm at 7/24 so they auto-deny me despite high scores and low six figure income and 0 rent.

I wouldn't even if they offered 150K for 1K spend in 6 months. Just not worth the headache. Never again. /2¢
I have an open Arrival (no AF version with 2x on travel and dining). I was approved for it in May 2015, and it's the only variant of Arrival I've ever had.
Would I be eligible for the card and bonus?

This one-time offer is valid for eligible cardmembers. You may not be eligible for this offer if you currently have or previously had an account with us in this program. In addition, you may not be eligible for this offer if, at any time during our relationship with you, we have cause, as determined by us in our sole discretion, to suspect that the account is being obtained or will be used for abusive or gaming activity (such as, but not limited to, obtaining or using the account to maximize rewards earned in a manner that is not consistent with typical consumer activity and/or multiple credit card account applications/openings).

@xaximus wrote:Personally, I wouldn't go for this card. There's really no difference between this and the Venture card. Rewards are average at best and having an AF just makes it adequate at best. Unless the rewards get significantly better, I don't see too many reasons to app for this. 5k spend in 90 days is one of the higher SUBs I've seen. I'll pass.
Well, until recent events, the Arrival+ DID have an advantage over the Venture for a small niche, and it probably holds for an even smaller niche now!
A number of us have attacked the Venture as being pointless after the SUB, as you are paying an AF for a (restricted redemption) 2% when plenty of free unrestricted 2% exist. The Arrival+ doesn't quite have this criticism, because of the 5% redemption back rule, i.e. it is slightly more than 2% when redeemed for travel. However, you would need to spend about $100K to make this better than a free 2% card (after SUB). If you are spending that much, you might well do better with other cards!
With the Venture adding transfers, that card will be better for many, but for those who don't want the hassle of transfer, the Arrival+ will be slightly better than Venture, and at very high spend, better than a free 2%
All credit cards are pretty much worthless after the SUB.

$1500 a month is only $18000 a year of spending. We spend $1000 a month on groceries alone. I wouldn't consider that high spending. Yeah they don't want low income people. They want people who travel a lot and spend a lot of money. They are giving out $800. They aren't going to make that back on low income people. Seems more and more spends are going to 4k or 5k. But the bonuses are going up. Everyone is fighting for the Upper Middle Class.
There are a lot of cards with $500 or $1000 spend but the bonuses are much lower. And tend to be focused on cash. They are appealing to retired people and people and people who aren't making big dollars yet.

That really depends on what you do and how you value things. Those collecting points for "aspirational" travel will perhaps find more value in continuing to use a card rather than getting more SUB. And those into MS may also exceed what's available by bonus chasing.

Lot quicker to getting to aspirational travel getting SUB than doing post SUB spend. I think most MSers do bonus chasing.

Some will use MS to enable a particlar SUB, but theres a lot more of actual spending in MS: multiple tens of thousands per month doesn't all go on meeting SUBs!
