Hello - Last weekend, I PCed my Barclay US Airways Plat. MC to an Arrival Card. In doing so, I lost the 20,000 point sign-up bonus, but was told I would get 1,000 points immediately. I went ahead with anyway, if only to avoid HPs on the CR and to move up to a better card. I have not received the card yet, but they have already transitioned my online account to the Arrival card. The 1000 points are there - as well as a listing of card benefits. What is ALSO there is that gross 24.99% interest rate that I had on the Plat MC. The Arrival application page indicates: " 0% introductory APR on purchases for the first 12 months after account opening –
after that, a variable APR, currently 14.99% or 18.99%, based on your creditworthiness." Can they forfeit this simply because I PCed as opposed to my applying outright?
most of the time when you PC your APR stays the same as what you had... you for sure won't get the promo intro rates.
&^&*%%(* - I had no idea that would happen - I was very excited about coming out from under this high interest rate! I will call Barclay to see what can be done. Maybe I should have just applied for the card outright - I am loosing so many of the benifits of it.
