Barclay Arrival+ question

If you go for the top Arrival+ WEMC card, but don't quite qualify for it, will they give you a "lower" card, like the regular non-plus Arrival card?

It seems that was the case from reading postings here, but they're dated late 2013/early 2014.  I'm wondering if that's still the case.

Re: Barclay Arrival+ question

I believe those posts are from when before the Arrival+ was a WEMC 100% of the time.

As far as I know now, every approved Arrival+ application results in a world elite mastercard. I'm not sure whether this means there is a minimum CL requirement or not. If you want the Arrival+ I say go for it. You can always recon, or maybe see if they can move some of your barclay rewards credit limit to a new Arrival+ in order to help with approval.

That is a very good Question. maybe if you said your scores or so. especailly your transunion score. will have good ideal if you would get approved. but i think the only way to know for sure. if you apply but don't complete application it will have it in the find print. i will check it out for you.

TU is 695.  I have two inquiries on it, one from Barclay in July and another from Chase from early September.

Re: Barclay Arrival+ question

I may want to downgrade my Arrival+ before the AF hits, but I like the idea of no FTF and because it's chip and pin. Would thy let me keep these features if i downgrade? I'm assuming not but hopeful!

EDIT: Just looked into it and the no AF arrival still has no FTF's. now, will i still have chip & pin? and will it still be WEMC?

Re: Barclay Arrival+ question

You should be able to keep WEMC. For chip though, most likely not. Most likely you'll be assigned a new number that does not have a chip.

Keep in mind that Barclaycard currently uses chip as a selling feature of AF card. Unlikely you'll see chip on no AF card before 10/2015.

Well after checking every part of app. It did not say you would be automatically approved for regular arrival if not approved for plus. But it looks like your tu 695 may be good enough to get approved. But if you only had other barclays card couple of months. I would wIt at least four more months.

Re: Barclay Arrival+ question

I only say that. Because hate to see you waste hard pull but you may be able to PC the card you hit now to arrival plus

Re: Barclay Arrival+ question

"Offer subject to credit approval. Not everyone will qualify for the World Elite MasterCard credit card and its benefits."

They might approve you for arrival+ but you might get platinum master card or just world mastercard.
