As someone with Cap1, Synchrony, and Barclay cards. Barclay is far and beyond the best customer service experience I have had (excluding Amex because Amex is love, Amex is life).
See that's what I mean, some people LOVE LOVE Barclays, and then you'll see posts like CA's who isn't happy with them. And yes AMEX is my BFFL ![]()

Was told to call back today as the system would be reviewing my account again.
Called today, No APR Reduction, No PC, No CLI without HP.
Took 22 minutes!
It does not have an AF so I am trying to just put the card back in the drawer and leave it and forget but really want to close it!
No!!!!!!!!!!!! Then you'd have to change your siggie to "66 Cards and Declining". ![]()
CCs almost never lower APRs. I opened their Rewards MC in 4/12, CL of $2500, APR 22.9%. CL is now $5700, APR still 22.9%. I don't care, I use the card for reward points, not to carry a balance.
I called Barclays yesterday. They lowered the APR on my Sallie Mae Platinum 4% from 20.99% down to 16.99%

Barclay's does have some of the higher APR%'s of the more "Prime" lenders, that is for sure.. Most are in the 20-24% range
