Barclaycard Cash Forward Add’l 5% Offer

I woke up this morning to an email from Barclaycard offering an additional 5% cash back on grocery, drug store, and restaurant purchases, which is on top of the normal 1.5% cash back.  A total of 6.5% cash back. Plus, they're giving an additional $200 cash back if I spend $3,000 between now and July 31st.  Yes Please!!!

Keep these offers coming, Barclaycard, and your card will find a permanent home in my wallet!

I received a similar offer yesterday evening for my Rewards Mastercard (not as nice as what CribDuchess received though).

Use your Barclaycard Rewards Mastercard® to earn an additional 3X points for every $1 spent on grocery store, drug store and restaurant purchases, up to 3,000 points each month from 5/15/2021 to 7/31/2021.

I think this might be the first time that I've received a spend offer on this card.  It reminds me of the offers we used to see for the Sallie Mae Mastercard.  I know that Barclays used to allow product changes, because this card started out as an Arrival+ in 2016.

I received a 0% promo offer earlier this week via email from Barclays for the same card.  This is the type of promo that I'm used to seeing for this card, so the spend offer really surprised me.

I guess I'll have to dust off the Rewards card, because it is usually locked away in a drawer, only used for cell phone and utility charges.

I got this offer tied to my jetblue card wish it were my barclay arrival instead. Anyways I activated the offer and put a dining transaction when I checked it was not doing the 5x, I contacted them and they stated the bonus will come
